My name is Patricia Schoeman, and my passion is sewing and achieving a good fit.
I still remember the days when I would sew a blouse or pants with the hope that it would fit – I just did not know how to achieve a perfect fit, and then I realized, it’s not just me – there are a lot of Ladies who love to sew – but they’re disappointed when they fit their final project!
The thing that changed my sewing experience was when I sewed a bolt of muslin just to get a “perfect fitting” jean – I even bought pattern drafting software. The end product was “ok” but I knew it could look better – especially around my back side – I knew their had to be an easier way to get a perfect fit –
I found Pati Palmer and then registered for the next fitting class. I was like a sponge I wanted to know and learn everything I could!
I love to sew – But I would love it even more if I could wear what I sewed! I also decided that I would become a certified Palmer Pletsch instructor to help and assist others who had difficulty with achieving a good fit.
I’m passionate about teaching others to sew and fit clothes that flatter their body type.
